This policy explains what personal information we collect through disastermitigation.solutions, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What We Collect and Why

• Solution Provider applications — organization details, contact information, and solution descriptions you submit. Used to verify your organization, communicate about your application, and (on approval) create your platform listing.
• Inquiries — your name, organization, email, and message from our contact form. Used solely to respond to you.
• Email subscriptions — your email address and confirmation of consent. Used to send platform updates and media alerts you have opted into. We use double opt-in: you are only subscribed after confirming by email, and every message includes a one-click unsubscribe link, consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
• Automated email records — we keep a log of the automated emails our platform sends you (such as application confirmations), for accuracy and accountability.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
• We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
• We collect only what the purposes above require.

Where Information Is Stored

Our website and databases run on Cloudflare's infrastructure, and our transactional email is delivered through Resend. These service providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; data may be stored on servers outside Canada.

Retention

We keep application records while your application or listing is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accountability. Inquiry records are kept while we handle your inquiry. Subscriber records are kept while you are subscribed; if you unsubscribe, we retain the minimal record needed to honour your choice.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing info@disastermitigation.solutions. We will respond promptly and, where the law requires, within statutory timelines.
